IIITM-K, was setup as a premier academic institution of excellence in Science, Technology and Management nurtures professionals and leaders of high calibre imbued with values of entrepreneurship, ethics and social responsibility. IIITM-K actively promote higher education through its IT facilitated education programs and services across the nation.
Indian Institute of Information Technology and Management-Kerala (IIITM-K) was set up by Government of Kerala in the year 2000 (G.O.(Ms.)14-2000-ITD). The Institution is a non-profit making autonomous institution and is registered under Section 8 (old Section 25) Companies Act 2013. All the shares of the Company is held by Government of Kerala and the management of the Institute is vested in a Board of Directors comprising eminent industrialists, academicians and senior Government officials appointed by Government from time to time.
The institute offers Masters and Ph.D programs which help in building capacity at advanced levels of Informatics and IT enables Community Services and Empowerment Systems for meeting the emerging requirements of knowledge driven economy and society. The postgraduate programmes, giving emphasis in Basic Sciences, Information Technology and Engineering. The admission will be based on all India Entrance Examination, followed with an interview. IIITMK also provides training and development programs to government employees for capacity building.
