Government of Kerala has set-up two State Data Centres (SDC), monitored and managed by Kerala State IT Mission, as per the direction from Government of India to provide the core infrastructure for the e-Governance initiatives of the National e-Governance Plan (NeGP). SDC is working in divisions such as State Data Centre-1 and State Data Centre-2. The first data center, SDC-1 located at Co-Bank Towers (Near Mascot Hotel), Trivandrum was established in 2005 and the second, SDC-2 at Tejaswini Building, Technopark, Trivandrum in 2012. Kerala became the first State in the country to have a state-of-the art Data Centre exclusively for e-Governance activities. All the Government services are made interoperable and are rendered through this central platform seamlessly supported by core Connectivity Infrastructure such as Kerala State Wide Area Network (KSWAN), Common Service Centers (CSC) and National Knowledge Network (NKN).

Secured and Reliable Data Storage established through pro-active monitoring of threats on 24 x 7 basis through Security Operations Centre (SOC).

Guidelines for hosting application in SDC:
To host a web application in SDC, departments /PSUs have to submit request in specific form, authenticated by officers authorized. Application form can be downloaded form KSITM’s web site.
The web application to be hosted in SDC should be security audited by CERT-K or any empaneled agency of CERT-In. Guidelines issued by Government of Kerala for hosting of website in State Data Centre after security auditing is issued vide G.O.(Ms.)43-2015-ITD.

To get access to SDC, one should register online and provide a request. On confirmation of the same, confirmation will be provided to the user. The user guide for registration and filling of online application follow the instruction manual.
