Integrated Government Contact Centre (Call Centre)

Citizen Call Centre (CCC) is a single window IT enabled facility of Government that act as an intermediate between citizens and Government to interact effectively through telephone. The relevance of a G2C Call Centre interface was more important in the context of increased focus on e-Governance and with the implementation of the Right to Information Act 2005. CCC is providing all the services in a 24x7 mode and working on all calendar days except national holidays. CCC, which was made operational in 2005 at Thiruvananthapuram, now provides informational services and Grievance redressal support services to citizens on behalf of more than 60 Government departments, organizations and projects.

KSITM is planning the reinvention of CCC to improve the reach of the Call Centre by increasing the number of services rendered and the infrastructure available to reach more citizens seeking information. The new system has been proposed to transform the existing voice based Call Centre setup into a State of the Art Contact Centre providing such service delivery channels as email, web portal, social media, online chat, SMS, MMS, FAX etc. along with conventional voice enhanced by VoIP technologies.

The Telephone Number allotted to Call Centre is 155300 and the number is available anywhere from Kerala. The centre is equipped with a PRI/ISDN connection with 30 lines, which facilitates easy access to the Call Centre without any disturbances. The average call volumes handled are more than 500 calls per day.
